Margate January 2026

I haven’t been to Margate for a very long time. It is right at the end of the M2 motorway and you have to want to go there. Margate is on the East side of the UK right where the North sea and Thames meet. Christmas was over but I wasn’t back to work yet and had some free time, I grabbed my camera and off we went.

The water slips into the sand as tides retreat.

It was a lovely crisp day with really nice light. It’s a lovely place for a visit.
